Does your dog…

We can help!
We begin with an initial consultation to perform a behavioral assessment of your dog. During the consultation we offer some immediate management and training suggestions to help with the main issue(s). After the consultation, you will receive a detailed written evaluation, as well as educational handouts and a training plan designed specifically for you and your dog, should you want to have additional sessions. The consultation lasts about 2 hours.
How many sessions might you need after the consultation? That depends on the type and severity of the issue(s), the length of time it has been a problem, and how much time you can devote to working with your dog in between lessons. During the follow-up sessions, Bob will coach you through the training to improve your dog’s behavior. In-between sessions, you and your dog will practice the exercises Bob teaches you.
All of our training methods are force-free, fear-free, and pain free, and are based in the science of positive reinforcement training and counter conditioning for behavior modification. We will never use (or recommend) any aversive or harmful methods or tool, including NO shock collars (sometimes called e-collars) or prong collars.
Rates: $200 for the initial consultation if you live in Bloomington/Normal. If you decide to proceed with additional training after the consult, the cost is $75/hour for follow-up training, or $65/hour for pre-paid packages of 5 sessions or more (a 5 session package is $325). There may be an additional fee for those who live outside Bloomington/Normal, and our travel radius is limited to 30 miles from SE Bloomington.
